At times it doesn't work as great as you would hope. I also recommend either manually saving either by sleeping in a characters bed. Or you can pull up your phone and quick save from that. If neither of these methods work, then I suggest clearing any save data from your console and trying again. It's possible it was corrupted.
Apr 10, 2016 · When downloading Gta 5 on either steam or from rockstar, the save is made in your documents. So im pretty sure they are the same files. I dont think you'll have a problem transfering your save because when loading up gta v from steam it also opens your rockstart social thing.
